What to buy Dad for Father’s Day
Choosing the right presents for a special occasion can be tough, so here’s a few ideas for Father’s Day (19 June).
The N1 Centre has something for everyone, and HMV is as good as anywhere to start your search for dad’s present. Vouchers are always an option, but if you are dead set on being more imaginative then a few bargain basement DVDs or CDs wouldn’t go amiss. Is your dad an action film fan (think ‘Fast 5’ or ‘X-Men Origins’) or is more a comedy fan (how about Peep Show or Psychoville)? And if you’re going for the son or daughter of the year award, there’s always an iPad 2!
A little further down towards Upper Street is the Orange store, which may just be the place to find your dad’s ideal smartphone super-gadget… or perhaps he just needs a basic calls ‘n’ texts mobile? The helpful guys and girls from Orange will be able to give you some top-notch ideas.
If your long-serving male parent needs a bit of help in the style department, then French Connection, Next, Benetton and GAP will be able to help give you some ideas above and beyond the standard ‘socks and pants’ gifts. And don’t forget Ernest Jones if unpunctual father needs a new watch!
