What's On
Coming Up… at Vue Cinema Islington
03/02/2012
It’s February – one of the bleakest months of the year. Or at least it would be, if it wasn’t for Vue Cinema Islington’s stellar line-up over the next few weeks! Banish the winter blues and cheer up with one of the following special events.
Il Trittico: From The Royal Opera House
For those seeking out a bit of culture, the Royal Opera's first complete presentation of Puccini's Il trittico should be right up their street. Described as “witty” and “dark”, Il trittico first reached Covent Garden in 1920. You can watch the complete performance on Monday February 6th at 7pm.
Star Wars Episode 1 3D
At the other end of the scale, the first episode in the Star Wars saga returns to cinema screens, this time in 3D, with advanced screenings next Wednesday (February 8th). Sci-Fi aficionados and fans of either the original three films or the second trilogy will be thrilled to hear that geeky devotion will be rewarded too – with anyone who comes in Star Wars fancy dress eligible to buy tickets at student price, and the best costume winning a monthly pass!
Barbie™ in a Mermaid Tale 2
Finally, something for the kids this half-term – Barbie’s back as Merliah™, in an Australian surfing adventure that’ll have you counting down the days until the summer (finally) arrives. Mermaid Tale 2 is showing on Thursday 16th February, at 10:30am.
